I vote for Everette... I used to have an old farmer neighbor named Everette Crum. Nice guy. Died when his tractor rolled over him.. He was 75 or so. The tractor was even older..
I had thought the name came to me in mild recollection of a character from an old W.C. Fields film, but after a Google search that may have been a mistaken recollection.
