I have to ask... what is your deal with Saint Crispin exactly? He was the patron saint of cobblers as I understand. I mean I could see it if he was the patron saint of say... barley farmers.

It's more an amalgamation of several things...not least of which is the momentousness of St. Crispin's Day as a marker of military history, combining Agincourt, Balaklava (Crimean War), and the less British engagement at Leyte Gulf. Also the classic invocation in Shakespeare's Henry V. Lastly, it is the taken name of the Neufeld brewery, for various reasons. Hence the annual jubilation around this time of year!
