Se...What, did Matt Drudge link to me or something? Seemingly random comments, from Atlanteans no less! Readers other than my wife and a handful of friends? Boggles the mind!

In all seriousness, every major city I have visited usually strikes me about the same (believe me, Atlanta has better transit systems than KC, not that that is a concern to me), and I marvel at the popular admiration that is expressed towards cities. St Louis, Atlanta, Chicago, Kansas City, even my beloved birthplace, la ciudad de ángeles itself, LA, they all strike me as festering trash heaps of business necessity. Not somewhere I would go on vacation, at least (outside of visiting family...caveat so I don't perjure myself, as we are fond of visiting the Golden State).

But anyway, wilkommen, bienvenue, and welcome to Monte Carlo! (name that NBC show) I am no longer your boss! Lady Fortune is your boss! Will Lady Fortune be your mistress?SQLFunkateerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17237309391300543602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6503958.post-89677333143244624752007-06-28T22:13:00.000-05:002007-06-28T22:13:00.000-05:00Anonymous at 12:56 -He'd probably like to have see...Anonymous at 12:56 -

He'd probably like to have seen more of Atlanta, but the TRAFFIC MAKES THAT FRIGGIN' IMPOSSIBLE!

Atlanta is way overgrown, under-paved (and under-transitted) and overrated. And I live here.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6503958.post-75722250353965582382007-06-28T16:18:00.000-05:002007-06-28T16:18:00.000-05:00Oh, and one more thing:"Who needs your opinion?"Pe...Oh, and one more thing:

"Who needs your opinion?"

People who log onto my blog to seek it, apparently.SQLFunkateerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17237309391300543602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6503958.post-49165959848632320692007-06-28T16:15:00.000-05:002007-06-28T16:15:00.000-05:00Hahahahaha,Thank you Atlanta! Showing some spirit...Hahahahaha,

Thank you Atlanta! Showing some spirit, there!

Size 11 slippers (no velvet please), and make mine an Old Fashioned, extra ice. Maybe crank up the AC on my next visit!

And it is spelled "while", unless that is a traditional Georgian spelling. I have much to learn! Also, by referring to me as "a bit whiny sack of crap" do you mean that I am a bit whiny, as in a trifle, a smidge, with a mild degree of whininess? The Georgian grammar and dialect is challenging to outsiders such as myself at first, but we will make a good effort!

Oh, and thanks to some mad Eastern European shuttle driver, I managed to see a good 90 percent of the Atlanta metro area on a 45 minute shuttle route, all at breakneck, sign-a-waiver-before-you-climb-aboard speed. So yes, I did see Atlanta.

But welcome aboard! You're a bit welcome guest here, and I'll pour you a cold drink and fetch some slippers "whiel" I summon the servants with the palm fronds (unnecessary since we have AC, but a nice gesture nonetheless, don't you think?).SQLFunkateerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17237309391300543602noreply@blogger.com
